Sibu, The Swan City

Swan that be the symbolic of Sibu Town

Sibu is a quiet town along the Rajang River where the Chinese population forms a majority. Sibu is the main tourist gateway to the Upper Rajang River, alongside you will find numerous authentic towns and many Iban and Orang Ulu longhouses. In and around Sibu, you can enjoy numerous recreational parks, a wonderful night market, a huge central market and many nice Chinese restaurants with delicious local dishes. In the central area of Sarawak along the Rajang River the town of Sibu forms an entry to a wonderful part of Borneo as tourists visit Sibu for the longhouses and many Chinese cultural attractions. The town has a population of over 265,000.
